Scouting Report
Demonstrated feel for a physically advanced 6-foot-3, 190-pound frame with present athleticism and fluidity in his actions. The primary left-handed pitcher sat 87-90 mph with late life in the zone out of a fluid, and athletic ¾ arm-slot. Generated plus hip-shoulder separation allowing for quality hand speed from the left-side. Mixed in a 66-67 mph curveball with 1/7 shape and late, disappearing depth. The left-handed hitter begins with a wide, open setup utilizing a toe-tap stride to initiate his swing. A strong lower half created advanced barrel whip through a slightly uphill path in the hitting zone. Showcased feel for the barrel while peppering balls deep to both gaps with natural pull side lift, recording a 91 mph bat-exit velocity during one of the top rounds of BP on the day. Ran a 7.38 60-yard dash. The first baseman featured advanced feel around the bag with a low center of gravity and soft hands working through the ball out in front. Smooth transfers with range to both sides allowed for plays on the run to be made and yielded accurate 76 mph arm-strength across the diamond.
Primary pitcher had thrown live in the days leading up to this event and did not take the mound. The 6-foot-3, 180-pound left-handed hitter starts from a square stance and utilizes a toe-tap stride to begin. Showed balance throughout his swing with a feel for the barrel and an ability to use all fields. Registered a bat exit velocity of 90 mph and ran a 7.56 60-yard dash. Showed solid footwork and a soft glove around the bag at first base with accurate 76 mph arm strength across the diamond.
