5-foot-10, 190-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a heel-raise stride. Showcased balance throughout with an uphill path through the zone creating significant back spin. Registered a bat exit velocity of 92 mph and ran a 7.52 60-yard dash. Displayed a quiet glove hand and athleticism behind the dish while recording the top pop times of the event at 1.96-2.01 on throws of 77 mph from the crouch.
The Army commit showcased advanced feel for a physical 5-foot-10, 190-pound frame with athleticism and strength in his actions. The right-handed hitter begins with a crouched, even stance utilizing a short lift-and-replace stride to initiate a slightly uphill barrel path into the hitting zone. Generated quality length in the zone creating advanced hand speed and whip through extension. Displayed a loud round of batting practice with present pull-side lift recording an 89 mph bat-exit velocity. Ran a 7.72 60-yard dash. The primary backstop showcased quality receiving skills with minimal glove hand movement at the catch point. Pop times ranged from 2.05-2.17 on accurate throws of 73 mph from the crouch out of a high ¾ arm-slot. Demonstrated solid and repeatable straight line footwork using a strong lower half with smooth transfers allowing for consistent throws on the bag. Featured adequate blocking technique creating soft walls on both sides of the plate with downward chest angles yielding recovery ability.
