Big, loud round from ‘23 C Brian Reed (Seton-LaSalle) generating barrel whip and home-run juice to pull. Notched an 82 mph peak bat-speed with multiple over 80 mph. Maxed out at a T97 exit velo, developing PWR in a stocky build. @bvbaseball20 pic.twitter.com/zJF7N1e2Vh

‘23 C/RHP Brian Reed (Seton La Salle) carrying plus strength to the bump for a standout ‘pen. Power in the legs and rode the FB up above waist-height. Mixed feel for a hard, sweeping SL.

Scouting Report
Reed impressed in all facets on Saturday. Reed displayed exceptional poise while running through each part of the workout. In the box, Reed rotated quickly and violently with intent to do damage behind every swing. Reed engaged the ground nicely and used it effectively to turn and burn pitches with a peak exit velo of 97 MPH.
Reed also impressed behind the dish with clean receiving skills and a strong arm, aiding in his low 2 second pop time. More importantly, Reed stepped up on the mound and was once again impressive. Right on par with his swing, Reed is effectively violent down the slope with late arm acceleration. The FB floated around 82-84 MPH with life and the ability to maintain plane, while he mixed in a short, sharp breaking ball that was best thrown down and to his glove side. Reed could see himself making a healthy jump in the rankings later this year if he continues to progress the way he is.
