The 2017 Overall Rankings were updated last week and as an appetizer to your Thanksgiving meal, here is a look at the top five juniors by position. Be sure to check out the players’ profiles for more in-depth info.
Right-handers
The 2017 class of right-handers is currently led by RHP Ben Jordan (West Carter HS, KY). He is tall, projectable and remains uncommitted. He runs his fastball up to 90 mph with minimal effort and an easy arm action. RHPs Blayne Enlow (St. Amant HS, LA) and Nicholas Storz (Poly Prep Country Day School, NY) are both headed to Louisiana State and can pitch in the low 90s with projectable secondary pitches. Representing Florida, RHPs Robert Touron (Gulliver Prep, FL) and Tyler Ahearn (Dwyer HS, FL) have projectable frames. Touron has a loose, quick and whippy arm that produces a high-80s fastball that touches 92 while Ahearn is balanced on the mound and fills the zone while touching 91.
