Scouting Report
10/15/22
Physical: Advanced, imposing 6-foot, 210lb frame with a middle of the order skill set.
Offensively: LHH. Wider, slightly open stance, as the hands wave in rhythm. Utilized a barrel-tip with a short leg-lift stride to initiate the swing through a violent, whippy path into the hitting zone. Plenty of bat-speed available towards the pull-side of the field, blocking off a strong lead leg properly. Recorded a T97 mph exit velocity, up to a 343 foot distance via Trackman (80% barrel rate).
Defensively: The primary first baseman featured adequate feel around the bag. Set up with a compact base and used choppy footwork to funnel off his center. Delivered an accurate 76 mph arm-strength across the infield out of a direct H ¾ slot.
8/24/21
Physical: 6-foot-0, 200 pounds; Sturdy, broad shouldered build. 7.71 runner in the 60. Offensively: LHH. Closed setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Short take back with the hands with a toe-tap for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a direct swing path with a late one hand finish. More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 93 MPH via Trackman. Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; uses prep hop while laid back. Hands are out in front with a seamless transfer. Short take back from a low 3/4 arm slot. INF - 71 MPH.
