PBR-PA DEBUT
2019 Eastern PA Top Prospect Games
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
60: 6.75
Bat-Exit Velocity: 79 mph
IF Velo: 81 mph
SCOUTING REPORT
Displayed a lean and athletic 6-foot, 170-pound frame with room to add strength as he matures. The right-handed hitter starts from a closed stance and initiates his swing with a quick, leg-lift stride. Showcased a feel for the barrel and short swing path while registering a bat exit velocity of 79 mph during batting practice. Ran a 6.75 60-yard dash and demonstrated active feet defensively evidenced by an accurate 81 mph arm strength across the diamond out of a high ¾ arm-slot.
THOUGHTS ON THE FUTURE
“Eberly demonstrated some athletic actions during the Eastern PA Top Prospect Games. With more intent on a violent lower half drive both at the plate and on throws across the infield, he will utilize more strength in his current athletic frame. At the plate the hands take over the swing which, barring a couple minor adjustments, could see his bat-exit velocity jump north in a hurry. We liked his line drive approach during batting practice and it’ll be interesting to see how he molds into a quality high school hitter. Defensively he’s shown the ability to play both middle infield positions with above average speed and an adequate first step. With an increase in strength and intent while adding onto his lean athletic, 6-foot, 170-pound frame Eberly could turn himself into a solid all-around prospect. ”
Player Comparison
*Many times coaches will ask our staff "Who does he remind you of?" Player "comps" are a popular tool in the scouting/recruiting world and we have decided to add that niche to our feature articles.
