Player Spotlight: 2021 LHP Erik Ritchie (Souderton Area)

As we move into the later half of fall and the Elite Prospect Showcase draws closer we will be taking a periodic look at uncommitted underclassmen across the state who have stood out at a PBR event over the past four months.
Today we begin by taking a look at a 2021 left-handed pitcher who shined at the recent Lehigh Valley Rising Stars Scout Day on September 23rd at Keystone State Baseball Academy.

Scouting Report
9.23.18 - First look at this 6-foot, 185-pound lefty was a good one. Athletic, well proportioned frame with time for additional strength. Sat 83-84 from a high 3/4 arm slot with an easy, repeatable delivery that stays directional. Fastball has natural cut and curveball with 1/7 shape at 70-72 has a chance to be an out pitch at the next level. Changeup is a bit stiff at 74-78 but is commanded well with little current movement. Definite spring/summer follow in this class.
