Pennsylvania Player of the Week

Catcher Drew Baughman (Cumberland Valley), went 8-for-11 over three games with three doubles and a home run during the past week. The Liberty commit, ranked No. 19 in the PA Class of 2018, had four RBI, scored five runs, and was walked intentionally three times.
Baughman helped lead the Eagles to a 2-1 week that included back-to-back shutouts over Cedar Cliff (9-0) and Manheim Township (10-0) following a loss to Red Land (4-3) on Thursday. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound right-handed hitter is coming of a junior season in which he hit .366 with seven doubles and three home runs.
For his efforts, Baughman has been named the Prep Baseball Report Pennsylvania Player of the Week for the week of April 2 - April 7.

+ OF Luke Barnum (Souderton Area), ranked No. 236 in the PA Class of 2018, went 3-for-4 with two home runs, three RBI and two runs scored on the week.
+ 2019 LHP Zach Chandler (Plymouth Whitemarsh) picked up a win and a save in two appearances. On Friday he tossed a compete game shutout vs Upper Dublin, scattering three hits while striking out nine.
+ Catcher Cole Chesnet (Archbishop Carroll), a 2016 PBR Future Games participant as a member of Team Pennsylvania, went 2-for-6 with a home run, four RBI and four runs scored on the week. The Penn State commit is ranked No. 35 in the PA Class of 2018.
+ 2018 RHP Thomas Grecco (DuBois Central Catholic) went four innings with 10 strikeouts and just two walks allowing just a bunt single in an 8-0 win over Johnsonburg.
+ OF Chris Grill (Archbishop Carroll), a New Mexico State commit ranked No. 165 in the PA Class of 2018, went 3-for-8 with five RBI and four runs scored on the week.
+ OF/LHP Jake Kelchner (Archbishop Carroll), an Alabama commit ranked No. 7 in the PA Class of 2018, picked up his first win of the season going five hitlless innings with no walks and 13 strikeouts.
+ 2019 SS/2B Sean Lawley (Archbishop Carroll) went 3-for-6 with a double, triple, two RBI and three runs scored on the week.
+ 2018 SS Stephen Longo (Plymouth Whitemarsh) went 3-for-7 with a triple, home run, two runs scored and four RBI over a pair of games.
+ 2020 LHP/OF Ben Mascio (Plymouth Whitemarsh) allowed one run over six innings, allowing four hits while striking out seven. At the plate he hit a two-run home run and scored a pair of runs.
+ RHP Andy McClymonds (Blackhawk), a Slippery Rock commit ranked No. 83 in the PA Class of 2018, picked up his first win of the season with a complete game two hit, 15 strikeout effort against New Castle.
+ 2019 OF Mike Orensky (Plymouth Whitemarsh) went 3-for-6 with a home run, double and six RBI over two games.
+ 2020 SS Sam Ruta (Pennsbury), ranked No. 25 in the PA Class of 2020, went 4-for-8 with a home run, two doubles, two RBI, a hit by pitch and a walk over three games this week.
+ RHP/IF Blaise Sclafani (Souderton Area), a UMass-Lowell commit ranked No. 53 in the PA Class of 2018, went 5-for-7 with a home run, a double, six RBI and and three runs scored this week.
+ 2018 RHP Ben Visnesky (Serra Catholic) improved to 2-1 on the year with a complete game 11 strikeout performance against Uniontown.
