RECENT EVENT HISTORY
Northern West Virginia College Prospect Showcase - 8.26.18
Defensively, shows soft, quiet glove hand while consistently beating ball to the spot in receiving and framing. Flashes soft wall and appropriate trunk angle in blocking. Feet are quick while throwing motion has length in registering 2.21 pop time on throw of 73 mph. Offensively, 5-foot-9, 155 pound left-handed hitter initiates swing from neutral set up with toe-tap stride staying neutral. Separation is adequate. Weight shift and hip turn are aggressive. Hands are loose achieving solid barrel whip. Blucher stays behind ball and works into a firm front side resulting in excellent leverage. Bat path is slightly up hill creating natural lift. A bat exit velocity of 80 mph was recorded.
WHAT TO EXPECT
" It will be almost 1.5 years since we last saw Blucher...and that's exciting. Showed athleticism behind the dish with a controlled approach in the box with some whip through the zone; there are some next level characteristics that are ready to hit thee big stage. Really interested in seeing what physical maturity and thousands of reps have done for this Western PA Junior. The skillset plays behind the dish and we'll be expecting some serious time to be shaved off his throws with more explosive actions coming out of the chute on February 23rd."
PLAYER COMPARISON
*Many times coaches will ask our staff "Who does he remind you of?" Player "comps" are a popular tool in the scouting/recruiting world and we have decided to add that niche to our feature articles.
