After drilling down into our google analytics we have compiled a list of the ten most visited Pennsylvania profiles on the Prep Baseball Report website in 2014. Over the past ten days we have counted down to the end of the year with a look at those profiles that were most viewed. Today we cap our review with a look at the most viewed profile of the year.
It should come as no surprise that the No. 1 ranked prospect in both the PA and the PBR combined Class of 2015 rankings is also the most viewed player profile of the year. It also is not a stretch to predict that Nikorak is likely to take home this award again in 2015 with the buzz that will surround him leading up to the 2015 MLB Draft in June.
The athletic 6-foot-4, 205-pound right-hander started the Under Armour All-American Game for the American team this summer and showed no signs of nerves. The Alabama recruit retired the side in order with two strikeouts. His fastball sat predominately at 93 mph, topping at 94. Unlike many of the pitchers at the event, Nikorak produces premium velocity with little effort. Aside from his fastball velocity, Nikorak also showed an advanced three-pitch mix. His changeup looks to be a plus offering, as he threw a few with late arm-side sink. He recorded a strikeout with a 79-mph changeup and also consistently threw his 76-78 mph curveball for strikes.
