David Shore enters his junior season looking to build on a solid sophomore campaign in which he hit .250 in 14 games, including eight starts. The 5-foot-7, 145-pound C/SS compiled a .400 on base percentage and is likely to see a significant increase in his innings behind the plate moving into his junior season.
Shore moves well (7.31 60-yard dash) and shows definite promise defensively with a clean, quick transfer on throws of 76 mph from the crouch. The junior has shown pop times of 1.97-2.06 and capable infield actions with an 82 mph arm across the diamond.
The right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and utilizes a quiet stride while staying inside the baseball routinely. Shore has a feel for the barrel and uses all fields well with a bat exit velocity of 81 mph. With room to add significantly to his developing frame, Shore projects as a quality defender at the next level with a high ceiling.
