Inside the Northeast Procase: 2023 OF Chase Krewson (South Fayette/Notre Dame commit)

Chase Krewson OF / LHP / South Fayette, PA / 2023

Krewson stands 6-foot-1, 190-pounds and oozes athleticism evidenced by his 6.78 laser 60-yard dash time. The blue collar Western PA prospect consistently glides around the outfield showing off his advanced range, combined with a quick, clean, and strong arm (92 mph), it's easy to see why the current Junior is committed to Notre Dame. Currently he is ranked 154 in the 2023 class nationally and No. 4 in Pennsylvania. 

Typically the most athletic players find a way to make adjustments on the fly and Krewson is a great example of just that. We have seen several at-bats where he has made pitch to pitch adjustments making the most of his athletic skillset. He starts from a wide base and uses a small leg lift and stride for timing. His hands are quick and his barrel path is short with some slight lift through contact. The power is raw currently with more carry to his pull-side, however I fell the barrel skills allow him to be a gap-to-gap threat at the next-level. We are excited to see his gains at the Northeast Procase February 20 in Williamsport, PA. Krewson has a chance to make a big statement.
