Harbor Creek need just five innings to dispense of Irouquois by the mercy rule on Friday scoring 10 runs in innings two through four to move to 12-3 on the season.
Following a scoreless 1st inning that included an inning ending double play the Huskies used two walks, two hit batters, three sacrifices, six hits and five Iroquois errors to plate 10 runs in the next three innings to coast to the win.
Senior lefty Connor Needham went the distance for the win scattering seven hits while striking out seven without issuing a walk in his shutout performance. Needham worked out of a second and third, one out jam in the 3rd inning by inducing two of his strikeouts. With the win Needham improved to 4-1 on the season while lowering his ERA to 1.91.
Sophomore Lucas Folmar (right) led the Huskies offense with a 3-for-3 night that included two runs scored, two RBI and a double. Sophomore Ryan MacGurn (2-3, 2B, RBI) and Needham (2-3, RBI) also had big days at the plate.
