Manheim Central 10, Donegal 0

Manheim Central ran its record to 5-0 on Tuesday behind a complete game shutout from lefty Colton Book. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound sophomore, ranked No. 65 in the PA Class of 2021, allowed just two hits while striking out eight in going the distance. 

The Barons used a balance offensive attack that resulted in nine hits, including at least one from eight players in the starting lineup. They provided Book with all the run support he would need in the 3rd inning plating four runs. The rally was capped with a two-run home run off the bat of 2019 shortstop Drew Mummau, a Liberty recruit, 

Donegal's best scoring threat came in the bottom of the 1st inning when Drew Bechtold led off with a triple. Book however worked some magic to get out of the inning with two ground outs and a pick off.

Manheim Central will look to remain undefeated when they head to Octorara on Thursday. Donegal fell to 2-2 with the loss. The Indians will look to get back into the win column when they host Octorara today.
