Philadelphia Region Director of Scouting
Governor Mifflin 10, Daniel Boone 2
4A #16 Governor Mifflin scored six times in the first inning -- on a walk, two singles, and seven Daniel Boone errors -- on its way to maintaining sole possession of first place in BCIAA Division I. 2015 RHP Eric Mock (6 IP, 5 H, BB, 7 K) took over from there, including a stretch in which he struck out five of the six hitters he faced in the third and fourth innings.
The early defensive debacle caused wholesale changes for the Blazers in the bottom of the second inning, with one new player entering the line-up and five players changing positions. 2014 RHP Christian Henderson maintained his composure and, after allowing a leadoff home run to Doug McFarland (East Tennessee State) in the second inning, held the Mustangs off the scoreboard for the remainder of his six-inning outing.
McFarland, 2015 OF Zach Weidner, and 2016 C Earl Kochel each had two hits and reached base three times for Governor Mifflin, while 2016 C/1B Bryce Stout and 2017 IF Joseph Moyer tallied multi-hit games for Daniel Boone.
