SCOUTING REPORT
8.4.16 - Rettig has a very lanky 6-2 frame and throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a drop and drive delivery. Long, quick arm action generates velocity with normal effort. Shoulders closed and slightly uphill, lands open, athletic finish with some recoil. Fastball had heavy run, sitting 80-83, touching 85. Curveball had sharp 2/8 break with good arm speed, running 67-71. Slider had similar break that was a bit later at 73. Change-up had decent arm speed and run at 72

Please describe your Future Games Experience
+ It was the best competition I have ever played against and I was able to play in front of some of the top baseball programs in the country. I received my first Division 1 phone call through this showcase and many other schools have contacted me since. I was also able to meet boys from all over the Mid-Atlantic and hear how they are approaching the recruiting process. It was a great privilege and opportunity to play in the PBR Future Games.
Would you recommend to 2019 & 2020 grads to play in the Future Games?
+ Yes
+ I don’t have a specific timeline, but I am ready to decide as soon as my family and I are sure we have a good fit at the right school.
What are you looking for in your college choice?
+ I have good command of all of my pitches and approach batters with a plan instead of just throwing pitches. Another strength I have is that I am athletic and can play in the field as well as pitch. My velocity continues to rise and I continue to work hard to improve all aspects of my game.
+ I play for the Maryland Legends and I have learned how much competition I am facing in trying to get a scholarship for baseball.
