Four Pennsylvania Commits Set to Head East

With the NCAA early signing period arriving, four more Pennsylvania recruits have announced their college plans, and all four are heading east. The group of prospects includes three pitchers who had breakout years on the mound in 2012 and a shortstop with prototypical size.

Joe Kinee, RHP, Class of 2013, Neumann-Goretti HS
Kinee is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound RHP who sits 85-88 and comes off of a 2012 season in which he was selected to the First Team All-Conference as an infielder and as a pitcher. His 6-0 record with a 0.95ERA along with his .385 batting average earned him the nod at two positions. Kinee, ranked No. 38 in the Class of 2013, has committed to Maine.

Anthony Scafidi, RHP, Class of 2013, Springfield Township HS
Scafidi is a 6-foot, 180-pound RHP who tops out at 85mph. He is coming off of a 2012 campaign that saw him go 8-1 with a 1.79ERA. Scafidi struck out 103 batters in his junior season while totaling 66.1 innings on the hill. The No. 75 ranked player in the Class of 2013 has committed to Seton Hall.

Dalton Mayberry, LHP, Garnet Valley HS
Mayberry is a 6-foot, 200-pound LHP from Glen Mills HS. Mayberry had a fantastic 2012 season finishing with a 0.87 ERA while giving up just 14 hits in 48 innings of work. The No. 84 ranked player in the Class of 2013 has committed to Marist.

Doug Trimble, SS, Episcopal Academy HS
Trimble is a 6-foot, 185-pound SS from Episcopal Academy. He was a First Team All-Inter AC selection in 2012. Trimble, ranked No. 105 in the Class of 2013, has committed to Delaware.
