The 2014 Fall College Prospect Program concludes tomorrow with prospects heading to Widener University for Week Three action. The format for all three weeks of the Fall Program has been identical with two nine inning games being played at 9:00am and 2:00pm and a showcase in the middle allows prospects to run the 60 yard dash, take live batting practice and demonstrate their defensive abilities.

2016 2B/OF Blake Rapoport (Wissahickon HS)

Of the talented field of 47 prospects set to participate Blake Rapoport definitely should stand out. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound left-handed hitter has shown the potential to be a top of the order threat at the next level with his ability to get on base and his foot speed. The Wissahickon HS junior recently ran a 6.70 60-yard dash and amassed a .536 on base percentage this summer as the lead-off hitter with the Philly Bandits. Rapoport, currently ranked No. 34 in the PA Class of 2016, put up impressive numbers during a 49 game schedule including 43 walks and 32 stolen bases while finishing with a .346 batting average.

Rapoport will participate for the Red Team in the 9:00 am Game as a 3B due to an abundance of middle infielders but will have an opportunity to display his middle infield skills during the showcase portion of the day at 11:30 am.
