The 2nd Annual Fall College Prospect Program came to a close on September 28 with a final stop at Widener University. The fall format involved two nine inning games and a showcase at each of three stops over the course of the month of September. Today we continue our analysis of the prospects in attendance during Week Three of the program by taking a look at the middle infielders in attendance.

Top Prospects

Bayley Jamanis, 2B/SS, Lancaster Catholic HS, PA (2016)

Jamanis has worked hard to add 6-foot, 170-pound frame. The right-handed hitter, ranked No. 97 in the PA Class of 2016, showcased an 83 mph bat exit velocity and the ability to drive the baseball from an open right-handed stance with a direct swing path. Jamanis went 1-for-2 with a sacrifice fly to deep left-center field during game play. He flashed the top arm of the day at 82 mph across the diamond while displaying the ability to play through the baseball. 

Kyle Rossi, SS, Central Bucks South HS, PA (2016)

Rossi had a big day at the plate going 3-for-5 with two doubles. The 6-foot-3, 180-pound junior showcased good barrel whip and the ability to drive the baseball to all fields. Rossi participated in game action only, but has showcased 7.15 foot speed and a 79 mph arm across the diamond at previous events. His physical size and projection for added growth may dictate a move for Rossi to third base or a corner outfield spot at the next level.

Best of the rest (In alphabetical order)

Brett Arney, 2B/SS, Phoenixville HS, PA (2015)

Arney is a very fundamentally sound defender that showcased the ability to play through the baseball with an accurate 72 mph arm across the diamond. The right-handed hitter displayed an open stance with a short swing path from a high hands load. Arney barreled the baseball consistently in batting practice with a bat exit velocity of 83 mph and ran a 7.03 60-yard dash.

Hunter Breon, 2B/SS, Boiling Springs HS, PA (2016)

Breon took a very solid round of batting practice, consistently squaring the baseball from an open stance with a bat exit velocity of 79 mph. The 5-foot-11, 150-pound right-handed hitter went 1-for-4 in game action and ran a 7.28 60-yard dash. Breon flashed a quick release and the athleticism to play the baseball on the move defensively with an accurate 71 mph arm across the diamond. 

Ryan Carney, 2B/SS, Cumberland Valley HS, PA (2016)

Carney went 2-for-4 in game action while barreling the baseball hard to center field in one of his other at bats. The 5-foot-10, 175-pound right-handed hitter utilizes a toe tap stride from a square stance to create an 81 mph bat exit velocity. Carney ran a 7.46 60-yard dash and displayed a quick release with an accurate 71 mph arm defensively.

Nathan Chapman, 2B/SS, Red Land HS, PA (2017)

Chapman is a 5-foot-4, 110-pound middle infielder that plays far bigger than his physical size. The sophomore displayed sound mechanics and an accurate 73 mph arm across the diamond defensively. Chapman ran a 7.53 60-yard dash and flashed a consistent line drive approach at the plate with a bat exit velocity of 69 mph. The right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and utilized a lift and replace stride while barreling the baseball routinely in batting practice.

Steven Gebre, SS/2B, Central Bucks West HS, PA (2017)

Gebre went 2-for-6 at the plate in game action while displaying a line drive approach from the right side of the plate. The sophomore showed the ability to barrel the baseball to all fields in batting practice with a short stride and a bat exit velocity of 73 mph. Gebre showed fluid actions defensively with the ability to play the baseball on the move and developing arm strength. The 5-foot-9, 140-pounder showcased an accurate 72 mph arm that will keep him at 2B for the time being, but his skill set will allow him to make the jump across the bag eventually when he matures physically.

Dan Goggin, SS/2B, Monsignor Bonner HS, PA (2015)

Goggin is a 6-foot-1, 165-pound unsigned senior that ran a 7.50 60-yard dash and flashed a 77 mph arm across the diamond. He displayed a soft glove hand and the ability to play through the baseball with an accurate arm. Goggin hits from a square stance with a high hands load. He gets to extension well and showcased the ability to make consistent hard contact with a bat exit velocity of 75 mph.

Chris Indelicato, 2B/OF, Archbishop Wood HS, PA (2016)

Indelicato went 1-for-3 at the plate in game action while registering a bat exit velocity of 78 mph. The junior displayed a flat barrel path from a square stance with good extension to his swing. Indelicato showed the ability to drive the baseball to all fields with no stride. He ran a 7.50 60-yard dash and showcased an accurate 74 mph arm across the diamond.

Nick Lazer, SS/2B, Bonner-Prendergast HS, PA (2015)

Lazer displayed good extension to his left-handed swing from a square stance with a lift and replace stride. The unsigned senior stays behind the baseball well and showcased the ability to drive the baseball to all fields with a bat exit velocity of 80 mph. Lazer showed capable actions defensively with an accurate 71 mph arm across the diamond.

Nick Wojtelwicz, SS/2B, The Shipley School, PA (2016)

Wojtelwicz displayed the ability to barrel the baseball routinely in batting practice from a slightly open stance with a bat exit velocity of 78 mph. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound junior stays behind the baseball well and showcased the ability to use all fields. Wojtelwicz showed some athleticism defensively with an accurate 74 mph arm across the diamond and ran a 7.59 60-yard dash.
