The 2nd Annual Fall College Prospect Program began yesterday at Seton Hill University. The fall format involves two nine inning games and a showcase at each of three stops over the course of the month of September. Today we begin our analysis of the prospects in attendance during Week One of the program by taking a look at the 12 pitchers that toed the rubber.

2015 RHP Eric Ford (Cambria Heights)

Ford displayed the best fastball of the day sitting 83-84 while touching 85 mph on several occasions. The uncommitted senior worked quickly and effectively during his three innings of work utilizing a 67 mph curveball with 11/5 rotation as his secondary pitch of choice. At 6-foot-1, 175-pounds, Ford has a frame that projects to continue to develop. He has some hitches in his high 3/4 delivery that make him deceiving and his fastball showed late life especially up in the zone. Ford's performance is likely to draw some interest from schools still in search of quality arms in the 2015 class.

2016 LHP Dom Coconcelli (Penn-Trafford)

Coconcelli worked three scoreless innings with four strikeouts and five ground ball outs, not allowing a baseball to leave the infield. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound lefty sat 82-83 from a high 3/4 arm slot while touching 84 mph. Coconcelli, currently ranked No. 41 in the PA Class of 2016, also flashed a sharp biting 72 mph curveball that has occasional two-plane action. The junior works solely out of the stretch and displayed sound, repeatable mechanics with a clean arm action. Coconcelli has added 4-5 mph to his fastball in the past year and gives every sign that additional velocity spikes are still likely.

2017 LHP/1B Ryan Okuda (Pine-Richland)

Okuda impressed with a feel for a three pitch mix and good mound presence. The 6-foot-1, 145-pound sophomore sat 79-81 from a 3/4 arm slot with some arm side run to his fastball as well as the ability to cut it on occasion. Okuda also flashed a 68 mph curveball with 1/7 rotation and an above average changeup with arm side fade at 71 mph. The left-handed hitter went 4-for-7 in game action while barreling the baseball consistently from a square stance with a high hands load. Okuda should continue to see considerable velocity gains as his long, lean frame develops.

2015 RHP Sol Averbach (Taylor Allderdice)

Averbach sat 78-80 out of a high 3/4 arm slot with command of 70 mph curveball with 11/5 rotation and a 72 mph changeup. The 6-foot, 185-pound uncommitted senior displayed repeatable mechanics and a feel for his three pitch mix.

2017 C/RHP Michael Haley (Franklin Regional)

Haley sat 77-79 from a high 3/4 arm slot allowing one run over three innings of game action. The 6-foot, 195-pound sophomore also displayed a 64 mph curveball with 11/5 rotation and a 68 mph changeup thrown at near fastball arm speed. Haley showcased the ability to use all fields with a lift and replace stride from a square stance. The right-handed hitter flashed an 83 mph bat exit velocity and drove a two-strike opposite field double in game action. Haley showed some promise behind the plate with pop times of 2.25-2.35 on throws of 70 mph from the crouch.

2017 OF/RHP Isaiah Lockette (Steelton-Highspire)

Lockette sat 77-79 early in his three innings on the mound with some cut action to his fastball as he worked into his final inning. The sophomore relied primarily on the fastball but did flash an occasional 66 mph curveball with 11/5 break. Lockette showed raw athleticism in all his actions showcasing a 6.90 60-yard dash and a solid 81 mph arm from the outfield. The right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and utilizes a leg lift load to generate barrel whip with a bat exit velocity of 82 mph. Lockette led off the early game with a base hit and squared the baseball in several at bats during the course of the day.

2015 RHP/C Richard Ross (Ligonier Valley)

Ross is a 6-foot-1, 220-pound uncommitted senior that sat 72-74 from a 3/4 arm slot with some deception to his delivery. The righty also displayed a 67 mph curveball during three innings of work. Ross also has a 67 mph split-change in his three pitch mix that has some down action that he used to get swinging strikes and ground balls.

2016 2B/RHP Kyle Seese (University, WV)

Seese topped at 68 mph from a 3/4 arm slot with a long arm delivery. The 5-foot-10, 165-pound righty also displayed a changeup and curveball in his three pitch mix. Seese displayed a 77 mph bat exit velocity from a slightly open stance with a high hands load. The right-handed hitter showed a flat bat path through the hitting zone and a bit of barrel drag that should improve as he continues to get stronger.

2015 OF/RHP Josh Serafin (Cambria Heights)

Serafin showed well-rounded abilities topping at 78 mph from the mound out of a high 3/4 arm slot. The uncommitted senior also displayed a 68 mph changeup and a 60 mph curveball with 11/5 rotation. Serafin ran a 7.28 60-yard dash and displayed athletic actions defensively with a 78 mph arm. The left-handed hitter displayed a flat bat path through the hitting zone and the ability to consistently barrel the baseball to all fields. Serafin went 4-for-8 with a triple in game action spraying the baseball to all fields.

2016 RHP/3B Andrew Smith (Cumberland Valley)

Smith displayed solid fastball command, topping at 75 mph from a high 3/4 arm slot. The 5-foot-11, 150-pound junior also flashed a 65 mph curveball with 11/5 rotation and a 69 mph changeup thrown at near fastball arm speed with some fade. Smith has sound, repeatable mechanics with the potential for added velocity as he develops physically.

2016 RHP/2B Kyle Stack (Greensburg Central Catholic)

Stack displayed repeatable mechanics and the ability to pound the strike zone from a high 3/4 arm slot. The 6-foot, 165-pound junior worked three scoreless innings commanding the zone with his fastball, an 11/5 breaking curveball and a changeup thrown at near fastball arm speed. Stack hits from a square stance with a lift and replace stride. The right-handed hitter displayed the ability to barrel the baseball frequently during batting practice with an ability to use all fields.

2017 C/RHP Casey Winters (Blair County Christian)

Winters sat 81-82 with a high leg kick that allows him to hide the baseball and creates some deception. The 5-foot-11, 220-pound two-way prospect also displayed a feel for a 72 mph curveball and a 70 mph changeup from a high 3/4 arm slot. Winters ran a solid 7.36 60-yard dash and displayed an 87 mph bat exit velocity. The right handed hitter has some drift to his approach but creates good barrel whip with a strong lower half. Defensively, Winters shows promise with pop times of 2.00-2.09 on throws of 75 mph from the crouch.
