Fall Kickoff Showcase Tournament: Day One Review

The PBR Fall Kickoff Showcase Tournament began yesterday with four teams playing a total of four games on the day. Those teams will complete their tournament action this morning with four additional teams beginning tournament play in the afternoon.
Following is a brief look at highlights of game action from day one and those prospects that shined for their respective clubs. Keystone State Bombers 2 vs. SW York Outlaws 0
The Bombers received seven strong innings on the mound from uncommitted 2019 RHP's Alex Weakland (Dallastown Area) and Zac McGillan (Ephrata) combining to allow just six hits while striking out 10 Outlaws batters. The Bombers were held to just two hits, but combined a hit batter, a walk and an Outlaws error to score the game winning runs in the 6th inning.
Team PBR White 6 vs. Bucks County Generals 2020s 2
Uncommitted 2019 OF Lance Baldensperger (Warren Area) drove in four runs, including three on a two-out triple in the 1st inning to lead the Team PBR White offense. Uncommitted 2019 RHP Matt Henderson (Daniel Boone) was impressive on the mound working the first three innings topping at 86 mph while allowing no hits and striking out five. 2021 catcher Jack Nugent (Central Bucks East) lined a double in the 6th inning to key a Generals two-run rally.
SW York Outlaws 6 vs. Bucks County Generals 2020s 2
The Outlaws erupted for all the runs that they would need in this one with five runs in the 3rd inning. The big blow in the inning was a two-run double off the bat of uncommitted 2019 RHP/1B Zachary Reed (South Western). Uncommitted 2019 LHP/OF Ethan Stalnecker (South Western) went three scoreless innings on the mound with three strikeouts and added a 2-for-3 day at the plate. Uncommitted 2019 RHP/SS Noah Miller (Susuehannock) also went 2-for-3 with an RBI while working two solid innings on the mound. 2020 SS Tyler Young (Central Bucks East) and 2020 3B/RHP Nick D'Apolito (Council Rock North) each doubled for the Generals.
Keystone State Bombers 5 vs. Team PBR White 1
Uncommitted 2019 RHP Colin Yablonski (Manheim Township), 2020 OF/LHP Brett Beith (Lakeview) and 2021 LHP/1B Colton Book (Manheim Central) combined to limit Team PBR White to just one hit while striking out seven. 2020 RHP Zach Garlinger (East Pennsboro),fresh off a strong showing for Team PA at the PBR Future Games, topped at 88 mph early on for Team PBR White.
