TELL US MORE...

Tell us about your commitment. Why did you decide on your school?

I chose Tulane University because of the amazing connection I felt with the coaches while on campus as well as the energetic environment the team practices and plays with. The campus is beautiful and the academics are up there with some of the top schools in the nation. It’s also a southern school which I was really looking to be playing baseball in the South, so it checked all my boxes.

The offseason is upon us. Tell us a little about your off-season training:

I am training 5-6 days a week for an hour and a half in the weight room working on strength and conditioning. I’m also working 2 nights a week with a pitching coach, where we are focusing on the smaller more overseen parts of my mechanics. His goal is to get me as comfortable as possible in the most uncomfortable positions in the pitching motion.

Baseball is a game built on adversity & failure. Who is your biggest influence in the game that has helped you handle the ups and downs?

My parents have been my biggest influence in my baseball journey. They have been there to pat me on the back when I need it; they also know when to push me and not let me give up just because something is getting hard.

Best player you ever shared the field with and why?

The best player I have taken the field with is Oliver Service, a Texas commit. He is not only one of the best players I have ever seen, but he can change the whole energy of a game with one at bat and just by his presence. He does not need to be playing well or getting every call, but he will always be right up on the fence getting to team up and keeping them up.

How has your experience been with Prep Baseball Report?

My experience through PBR has been amazing. Their showcases are second to none and the organization through all their events is amazing. I would definitely recommend it to other uncommitted players looking to be seen.

Most memorable PBR event & why?

The PBR Futures Games was an event I will never forget. Getting to play in front of that many Division 1 coaches and play against some of the top players in the country was an unreal experience and was ultimately the most help in my recruiting process.

QUICK HITTERS

Favorite post game meal?

Chipotle Burrito

Favorite Movie?

Good Will Hunting

Unique superstition?

I wear the same socks under my stirrups every game, they have the biggest tears in them but they’re my lucky sock. I also do wash them in between games.

Go to game day workout music?

On the way to the game country, but while I’m stretching right before the game I listen to a lot of rap; Kendrick Lamar, Kid Cudi, and Lil Baby.

IN CLOSING

The ultimate long term goal is what?

My long term goal is to get drafted and be able to have a professional career and using my degree afterwards to get into finance.
