Commitment Corner: 2021 OF Lonnie White Jr. (Malvern Prep)

PBR: Tell us about your commitment (where). Why did you choose this school? What are you most looking forward to when you step on campus?  

White: I am committed to Penn State.  I was originally committed to Clemson University but after my junior year of football, I started to get offers for football.  I decided I wanted to play both sports in college.  I also decided I wanted to be close to home so that my parents would be able to see me play.  I choose Penn State because I really liked the coaches and it felt like home.  I look forward to making a positive impact right away.

PBR: How is your off-season training progressing?

White: I am doing batting practice a couple times a week and I’m hitting off a tee at home.  I also have a personal trainer who I workout with to keep my body in shape.

PBR: Do you have any experience with PBR? If yes, how was your experience?

White: I played in the PBR Future Games representing Team Pennsylvania.  It was a great experience and I’m thankful for everything the Prep Baseball Report did for my recruiting process.

PBR: Who is your biggest influence, both on the field and off?

White: I would say my parents and all of my coaches who have helped me along the way. 

PBR: What goals do you have for 2021 HS Season?

White: My goal is just be the best that I can be.
