Scouting Report
2014 PA Underclass Games (June 25, 2014) Baughman took one of the top rounds of batting practice at the event barreling the baseball to both gaps with a quiet load and a very strong lower half. The physical 6-foot-2, 205-pound right-handed hitting freshman registered an 88 mph bat exit velocity and although he struggled a bit against older pitchers in game play he did show his power potential with a double to the right center field gap on day two. Baughman is still developing physically and could be destined for a move across the diamond to 1B. He displayed capable actions at 3B with a 73 mph arm across the diamond.
