Class of '22 Inside the Rankings: Diamonds in the Rough
December 28, 2021
Each week leading up to the new year, we'll be rolling out Inside the Rankings articles to further highlight the movement around the ‘22 classes in PA and NY. This week’s focus shifts the scope to “Diamonds in the Rough,” prospects with plenty of ceiling and a chance to rise up the rankings.

The Spin: Ripe with leverage and sneaky pound-for-pound strength, the 6-foot-1, 185lb third-baseman has quietly developed into a well-rounded bat, flashing consistent in-game success and checking all the boxes in the advanced measurables department. The right-handed hitter continues connecting into the ground with some of the better rotational acceleration scores in the class (31.4 G’s), which has translated into recent, much improved 73.5 mph bat-speeds. A strong winter on the showcase scene at the Area Code ID Series and Powerballers Scout Day in February set the stage for an encore performance at the PA State Games in June. Myro posted a personal best of a 348 foot batted ball distance (via Trackman) and recorded a multitude of hits in the live-action following. One of the more balanced two-way prospects, there’s always been a fun mound presence to watch when the righty takes the bump. The Blue Mountain product attacks hitters from the outset with an athletic delivery and doesn’t take the foot off the gas. A tight 70-72 mph CB can be thrown in any count and a well-killed 72-74 mph CH features both good arm-speed and fade to arm-side, profiling as a legitimate third offering.
The Performance: 2/14/21, Area Code ID Series: PA & NY | Worked up to 85 mph on the mound with a full strike-throwing arsenal across the board (FB, CB, CH) leading with an 83% zone rate on the fastball. Swung it well offensively too, notching a T96 mph bat-exit velocity with pull-side juice using wood.

Interesting 2-way prospect. RHH w/ a 96MPH exit velo, and up to 85MPH off the bump. Projectable 6-foot-1 frame and athletic mover.
