April 20, 2021 Joe Walentin Operations / Scouting
Scouting Report
‘22 LHP Collin Williams (Council Rock North / @RadfordBaseball) was the top arm in attendance.. T87 on the FB w/ an AVG of 1920 RPM’s flashing heavy action into the zone. Mixed feel for a sharp 1-7 breaker thrown for strikes. Immediate standout @BaseballUPhillypic.twitter.com/4jk5SAsGlO
Physical: 6-foot-0, 185-pounds. Strong, physical frame. 7.83 runner in the 60; 4.68 home-to-1B. Offensively: LHH. Tall, upright stance with a wide base, hands just above his shoulders that work back on load along with a toe tap and a small stride for timing Barrel is flat and direct to the baseball, works slightly uphill on finish, smooth swing. Hard contact from gap to gap. 78 MPH raw exit velocity. Defensively: Consistent, choppy footwork on approach, fields the ball well on the run, gets rid of it quickly. Medium arm swing with a low 3/4 arm slot. INF - 79 MPH. Pitching: Balanced, repeatable delivery with a leg lift above the waist before getting into back side as stride and shoulders stay in line to an easy effort, repeatable release and follow through. Moderate take away to a clean 3/4 release. FB: T84, 83-84 MPH. Commands in the zone with life and tail to it. CB: 69-73 MPH. Good feel for tight slurve rotation.
