[Note: these rankings are now reflected on player profile pages. An update to the PBR overall rankings in this class is scheduled to be released in the near future.]
1. Troy LaNeve, OF, Pine-Richland (Vanderbilt)
2. Thomas Schultz, RHP, Mount Carmel Area (Vanderbilt)
3. Eric Grintz, C/3B, Downingtown West (North Carolina) ==> (left)
4. Chris Newell OF/LHP, Malvern Prep (Virginia)
5. Tyler Kehoe, OF, Archbishop John Carroll (Louisville) ==> (right)
Typifying the accelerated nature of the recruiting process, this quintet, which still has three years remaining in their high school careers, has been snapped up by the Who's Who of college baseball. LaNeve is an athletic left-handed hitter with excellent barrel feel and ability to go get it on defense. Schultz has a prototype 6-foot-5, 185-pound build and loose, easy delivery that project for significant velocity beyond his present mid-80s arm strength. A physical, toolsy right-handed hitter with easy juice in his bat, Grintz joined his twin brother Adam (#6 on this list) as the only rising sophomores on Team PA at the 2016 PBR Future Games. Newell's lean 6-foot-2, 170-pound frame belies his present power from the left side, while he has also shown mid-80s velocity on the mound. Kehoe is another left-handed hitter who exhibits a loose, athletic swing and advanced feel for hitting.
