2019 Elite Prospect Showcase Spotlight: 2022 1B Ryan Davis

The Elite Prospect Showcase annually showcases many of the top uncommitted prospects across the state and from a few surrounding states. 2019 marks the 7th year for this event with more than 200 former participants having gone on to college commitments and a handful to professional baseball.
As we draw closer to the end of October we will be periodically highlighting some of the prospects scheduled to participate. Today we continue our preview with a look at 2022 1B Ryan Davis.

Scouting Report
6-foot, 190-pound left-handed hitter starts from a square stance and utilizes a leg-hang stride to begin. Showcased an advanced feel for the barrel with current pull side power. Consistently drove the baseball during batting practice and registered a bat exit velocity of 88 mph. Only participated on day one of the event. Davis will participate in the PBR Future Games as a member of Team Pennsylvania in August.
6-foot-1, 190-pound left-handed hitter starts from a square stance and hits out of a slight crouch. Utilizes a leg-hang stride to initiate his swing and creates backspin with a strong hip turn. Barreled the baseball consistently with a bat exit velocity of 90 mph. Ran a 7.30 60-yard dash and showcased athletic actions defensively with 81 mph arm strength. Physically advanced underclassmen will be a prospect to watch in this class.
