Here are three notable uncommitted incoming seniors from Oregon who showed well at the Pacific Northwest Preseason All-State event.

Drew Bartels

Class of 2025 / SS

Player Information

  • Graduating Class: 2025
  • Primary Position: SS
    Secondary Position: RHP
  • High School: Blanchet Catholic
    State: OR
  • Summer Team: NWDS 18U College Prep/The League *upperclassmen
  • Height: 6-0
    Weight: 175lbs
  • Bat/Throw: R/R

Scouting Report

Bartels carries an athletic 6’0, 175 lb frame. He moves efficiently in the infield with a quick lateral first step and rhythmic footwork that will play up the middle at the next level. He shows the ability to throw across the diamond from all angles. At the plate his swing is smooth and repeatable, yet strong through the zone with the potential for power. Starts with a high leg-kick that doesn’t compromise consistency nor his ability to get to a strong point of contact. A potential two-way guy, his FB tops 86 from the right side.

Brayden Buck

Class of 2025 / OF

Player Information

  • Graduating Class: 2025
  • Primary Position: OF
    Secondary Position: RHP
  • High School: Tualatin High School
    State: OR
  • Summer Team: Portland Baseball Club
  • Height: 6-0
    Weight: 187.6lbs
  • Bat/Throw: L/R

Scouting Report

Buck is a strong rotational athlete coming in at 6’0, 187 lbs. He uses all of his body in the box, producing a violent lefty stroke. Good feel for the barrel. He stays on plane exceptionally well. Natural power with room for improvement as he gets more strength and speed in his hands. He’s light on his feet, especially for a strong frame. Looks comfortable and balanced in the outfield and gets the ball out quickly. Pairs well with a right arm that can get up to 88.

Camden Hartlaub

Class of 2025 / SS

Player Information

  • Graduating Class: 2025
  • Primary Position: SS
    Secondary Position: OF
  • High School: Caldera High School
    State: OR
  • Summer Team: Baum Bat NW / Crush 18U
  • Height: 6-1
    Weight: 175lbs
  • Bat/Throw: R/R

Scouting Report

Hartlaub runs well, with a 6.69 second clip in the 60 yd. In the box his stance is quiet, beginning with a flat bat on the right shoulder. His hands stay tight and connected to his body throughout the swing. He gets into his backside well and finishes most cuts with the barrel almost reaching his back. At short he begins in an unorthodox hinge with his arms hanging low, but models consistent, textbook actions thereafter. Dynamic lower half. Shows ability to play at any spot in the IF. Hands are smooth and confident. They show particularly well on DP turns.
