Oregon Uncommitted Spotlight - '27 INF/RHP Mason Frederickson
November 17, 2024
As the 2024 baseball season comes to a close, Prep Baseball Oregon continues our new offseason series of Uncommitted Spotlights, highlighting standout performers that attended a Prep Baseball showcase event this year. Uncommitted spotlights are meant to showcase players that Prep Baseball Scouts felt showed standout tools, large improvements in overall game, or potential upside moving forward. College coaches and recruiters should be sure to keep an eye on these prospects in the coming months.
Today, we spotlight 2027 INF/RHP Mason Frederickson. The Sandy High School product had a great showing this winter at the Oregon Preseason ID in Eugene. The righty flashed smooth, athletic actions both at the plate and on the mound, and ran a 7.12 60-yard dash as well.
At the dish, Frederickson showcased a smooth RH swing with easy bat and hand speed. The lean athlete maintained a tight coil throughout with a 90 MPH max exit velocity. On the mound, the righty flashed a three pitch mix with a long, fluid arm action, consistently pounding the bottom of the zone. Below is a complete breakdown of the sophomore, including full scouting reports and video from the event.
