Oregon Uncommitted Spotlight - '25 OF Tre Hoffert
November 4, 2024
As the 2024 baseball season comes to a close, Prep Baseball Oregon continues our new offseason series of Uncommitted Spotlights, highlighting standout performers that attended a Prep Baseball showcase event this year. Uncommitted spotlights are meant to showcase players that Prep Baseball Scouts felt showed standout tools, large improvements in overall game, or potential upside moving forward. College coaches and recruiters should be sure to keep an eye on these prospects in the coming months.
Today, we spotlight 2025 OF Tre Hoffert. The Central Catholic High School player showed some tools that could translate at the next level at the Portland Summer ID. A multi-sport athlete, Hoffert showed some quick-twitch ability and plenty of potential in his all-around game.
Hoffert began the event running a 7.06 second 60-yard dash time. He followed with a solid outfield defensive showing, high pointing fly balls consistently and showing enough arm with easy throws to home plate. At the plate, Hoffert showed some bat speed, maintaining tight levers and turning on balls to the pull side throughout. There is some overall rawness to his game, but the natural athleticism could be something that translates to the baseball field in a big way. Below is a complete breakdown of the senior athlete.
