Oregon Rankings Update: Class of 2025
August 28, 2024
As the travel ball and summer circuit nears an end, Prep Baseball Oregon unveils the latest Player Rankings Update. From Summer ID events to our first ever PNW State Games, Prep Baseball staff saw hundreds of top high school prospects in the area throughout the summer months. Today, we start a three-week stretch of state rankings updates, and we begin with the class of 2025.
As always, the evaluation and rankings process is a fluid and ongoing ordeal, with multiple viewings needed to obtain the best feel for players abilities. It’s important to note that as players continue their development some show marked improvement at a much more rapid pace, and as a result will leapfrog other prospects in the list. This does not indicate that other players got worse or went backwards; this is simply the nature of player development. As the year unfolds, players make improvements and new prospects pop up on the radar expanding the Prep Baseball rankings universe. In addition to the evaluations of players, our scouts, both those in Oregon and nationally, have also had multiple discussions with each other to review our individual lists and attempt to make the most informed rankings lists possible.
Featuring a total of 115 prospects, the class of 2025 showcases high top-end talent and a deep pool of productive players. Below is our top 10 list and scouting notes on some of the top risers within the 2025 class.

Top Risers
#6 2025 LHP Calvin Gregory (Lakeridge/Oregon State)
After a recent return from injury, Gregory made a loud return at Area Codes and PNW State Games. At State Games, FB sat 88-90 with command to all quadrants. 4-pitch mix allows him to change speeds effectively. Some funk in delivery with high 3/4 slot release. Overall a very polished look for one of the top arms in the class leads to the bump back into the top 10.
Great to see ‘25 LHP Cal Gregory (Lakeridge) healthy and back on the mound again

#17 2025 C Dakota Chun (Sunset/Portland)
Hitterish prospect with pop from the LH side has only continued to show strongly through the summer. Compact load and path to contact with natural strength and a mature approach. Surprising quickness behind the dish, controls the run game well. One of the top catching prospects in the state class.
#34 2025 RHP Johnathan Ingalls (Jesuit)
Intruiging arm showed out at PBR's PNW State Games, flashing feel for three pitches and running the FB up to 88 MPH. Delivers from long, fluid arm path. Long-limbed athlete works downhill. Lean strength present in 6'2 frame but still has room to grow physically. An interesting follow moving forward.

Highly intriguing arm in the class
FB 83-87, T 87.8
SL 70-74
CH 77-78
Longer, full arm path with continuous tempo. Drives ball downhill. Athletic frame that can handle more weight #PNWStateGames pic.twitter.com/F0c3Uw4JYE
#35 2025 OF/RHP Ian Kolmer (Ida B Wells)
One of the loudest performances at State Games with several tools flashed led to a rise in the latest rankings. Up to a 99 MPH peak exit velo in BP rounds with consistent barrels throughout. Up to 86 MPH on the mound from the RH side. Also ran a 6.98 60-yard dash. Tooled up player could make another jump in ranks with further development.

Up to 99 mph EV. Strong throughout. Balanced swing. Uses the ground well #PNWStateGames pic.twitter.com/9B7GbA6WO2
#54 2025 RHP Cooper Yudhishthu (Grant)
Live arm with two impressive showings through the summer. FB consistently sat 84-85, but the real seperator comes from two plus breaking pitches. CB sits in the low 70's with upwards of 2700 RPM, dropping the pitch off the table vertically. SL sits at a similar velocity at 2500 RPM spin rates with a shorter, late breaking action. Over-top arm action is consistent across all deliveries.
#70 2025 SS/2B Josh Feik (South Salem)
One of several talented infielders on South Salem, Feik impressed with his all-around game. At the plate, features a simpole approach from the RH side, with quick hands and a flatter approach to all fields. Natural, athletic fielding movements. Should be able to stick on the dirt collegiately. 6'2 athletic frame.
TOP UNCOMMITTED

#14 Kellen Wood (Mountainside)
#15 Gabriel Coltman (Lincoln)
