Today we are highlighting 3 uncommitted prospects that are names-to-know in Oregon's 2024 class as we enter the increasingly important fall season.

UNCOMMITTED SPOTLIGHT

2024 PROSPECTS

Ezra Vice OF / OF / Westview, OR / 2024

Rankings  PBR Oregon: 51

From 6/23/23: "[Vice] has always been a wiry, rangy athlete in the OF with impressive speed. His game has taken a nice step forward as he’s added more bulk to his frame while also tightening up some swing mechanics and putting a shorter, tighter move on the ball. A 6.86 runner with peak EV of 95.1 and 83 mph arm from the OF. Frame can still carry more weight so it’s possible more power is still on the way."

Mickey McClaskey RHP / OF / Jesuit, OR / 2024

Rankings  PBR Oregon: 63

McClaskey is a high-waisted 6-foot-3, 180-pounds with long levers and plenty of room to continue adding mass. He made his PBR debut this summer at Portland Summer Open and came away a big winner from the event. McClaskey uses an easy effort operation and is an athletic mover down the mound. The fastball sits in the low-80s, and he offers a sweeping breaking balls and a fading changeup to keep hitters guessing. There is some deception to his delivery, as he gets above average extension (6.4 feet) and throws from a high release height (5.8 feet). He got a taste of varsity this past spring, and with several of the Crusaders' top arms graduating, McClaskey may have the opportunity to step into a big role in the rotation in 2024.

(6/15/23)

Grayson Grover 3B / RHP / Scappoose , OR / 2024

Rankings  PBR Oregon: 69

From 8/29/23: "Grover offers intriguing upside in his 6-foot, 175-pound frame with wiry levers. He put together an impressive spring for Scappoose, playing a vital role in their 4A State Championship run. Grover capped off his junior campaign with a two hit, three-RBI performance in the title game to help Indians secure the championship. After the spring, he came away a winner from our Top Prospect Games in July after posting the second highest maximum and average rotational acceleration at the event. After a sensational year, Grover jumps over 20 spots in our recent update."
