Last weekend, Prep Baseball hosted the 2024 West Coast Games. Featuring uncommitted 2025 and select 2026 prospects, the event featured over 150 players in total, gaining looks from many college coaches in attendance. The three-day event held in Southern California consisted of a pro-style workout on day one, followed by two days of gameplay to over the weekend. 

Prep Baseball's West Coast Games serves as a premier invite-only event for uncommitted rising upperclassmen on the West Coast. The event gave an unparalleled opportunity to each player in attendance by delivering a “one-stop-shop” for college coaches to recruit. Beyond the on-looking eyes of scouts and coaches, Prep Baseball's unmatched coverage and commitment to elevating players via advanced metrics and technology (Trackman, Blast Motion and Vizual Edge), along with multiple social media platforms, provided elite exposure for each player in attendance.

Team PNW Pitchers

2025 INF/RHP Drew Bartels (Blanchet Catholic)
Plus athlete with solid all-around game. Ran a 6.92 second 60-yard dash in workout with an 82 MPH infield velo across the diamond. Flashed a 96.2 MPH max exit velo in hitting portion of the workout. Finished 2-7 at the plate in-game with an impressive home run, crushing a pitch up at his shoulders for a two-run shot. Also had a standout showing on the mound, working three innings without allowing a baserunner. Showcased four pitch mix with a FB sitting 84-86 MPH, throwing all pitches for strikes.

2025 RHP Johnathan Ingalls (Jesuit)
Lean, projectable arm worked three innings in the second game of the weekend for team PNW. Showcased long, fluid arm action with a FB 81-85 MPH. Downhill approach with higher slot gave added life to heater, getting on hitters quickly at times. CH with run and a loopy CB made up secondary offerings. Showed ability to land CB early in counts. High upside arm with potential as frame continues to fill out.

2025 INF/RHP Reese Logsdon (Archbishop Murphy)
Overall smoothness to game with quality all-around showing. 7.33 second runner with a 94.0 MPH exit velo, but really stood out with in-game performances. Finished 2-6 at the plate but worked largely quality at-bats, and had the first of four home runs for Team PNW on the weekend, demolishing a ball to the pull side. Made several good plays defensively from SS and 3B. Worked three quick innings on the mound with a FB sitting 80-83 MPH, generating soft contact.

2026 RHP Owen Meek (Mountlake Terrace)
Held his own and then some against largely older competition, working three innings of 0 ER despite some tough luck defense behind him. Unique look with low slot release gives natural sink to FB at 80-84 MPH. CH flashed as strongest secondary at 75-76 MPH with similar run. Showed a SL that he could expand with as well. Finished with 3 K's on the day.

2025 C/RHP Boyd Messman (Sprague)
Topped Team PNW and was one of the best of the event with a 100.2 MPH exit velo in BP rounds. Showcased sound defensive movements behind the plate with a 2.07 second best pop time. Hit the second home run of the weekend for Team PNW, a towering shot to the deepest part of the yard. Simple, repeatable approach at the plate with strong front side gives easy juice to bat. Also worked a scoreless inning on the mound. 

2025 RHP Griffin Sanchez (Caldera)
6'6 framed arm had a strong outing on the mound, allowing just one run over four strong innings. Struck out three and gave up just one hit, dominating the opposition by filling up the zone. FB sat 80-84 MPH with command to both sides of the plate. SL sat 69-73 MPH and was a legitimate weapon as well. Real upside with ability to grow into frame, easy operation poised for a big jump.

2026 LHP Dashiell Story (Seattle Academy)
Lefthander followed a strong PNW State Games showing with another solid four innings of work for Team PNW. Struck out four with plenty of swing and miss throughout. FB mostly sat 82-84 MPH, but dialed it up to 85-86 MPH when needed. Showcased CB/SL/CH combination to make up secondaries, each with distinct shapes and velocities. 3/4 slot release with slight cross-body action gives tough look. Intruiging follow.
