Uncommitted Senior Spotlight: Zach Kourous

Kourous, 5-foot-10, 160-pounds, is one of the top uncommitted players in the 2022 class. He stands tall in the box in a slightly open stance and has a small step as he gets into his swing. At the plate he looks to do damage with an aggressive swing and a quick bat through the zone with a 91 mph exit velo.

He's a gap-to-gap hitter but shows power potential to the pull side. In the field he has smooth hands and the ability to make plays to his right and left, as well as on the run while having good footwork. His throwing motion is still raw but he shows the ability to make plays consistently. Kourous runs a 6.66 60 and that speed plays in game on the bases and in the field. The toolsy uncommitted 2022 grad is someone college coaches should have on their radar.
