Uncommitted Senior Spotlight: Ryan Faragher, C
Ryan Faragher C / 1B / St. Thomas Aquinas, ON / 2018Rankings StateRank: 8 / POS: 2
Team: Great Lake Canadians PBR Events Attended: PBR Futures Game, PBR ProCase- Ontario Background: Faragher made significant gains in 2017 fueled by a very productive T12 and selection to the Canadian Junior National Team for its fall trip to Florida. The power-hitting catcher is the second highest ranked catcher in Ontario behind Noah Naylor and remains uncommitted. Faragher has bulked up to 6-2, 200-pounds. with a good frame that can add more strength. He generates good bat speed with a very consistent bat plane resulting in hard contact. The ball jumps off his bat and with a slight uppercut swing there is power potential. He possesses some of the best raw power in the country and it shows up in games and against good pitching. Faragher continues to develop behind the plate, making real strides with his footwork and lateral movement. He has displayed a pop time around 2.00 with a projectable arm that can get close to average. He consistently releases the ball quickly with most throws on target. 2018 Outlook: |
