Report: Ray, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound left-hander, is headed to the University of Waterloo. The 48th ranked player in the 2020 class, Ray is an arm who initially caught our eyes in 2018 at Windsor Selects Scout Day, and followed that up with an impressive showing later that year. He's a strike-thrower who sits 80-82, T83 with arm-side run to his fastball, mixes in a cutter which works a few ticks slower with some lateral movement. Curveball displays 1/7 shape and depth, needs some fine-tuning but will be an effective offering. It's a left-handed arm that will play from Day 1 with the makings to continue to develop and be an impactful pitcher at the OUA level for years to come. |
