Top 5 Ranked Uncommitted 2019's

As we get closer and closer to our events and actual baseball action here in 2019 year, the list of uncommitted players in the Ontario senior class is winding down, but there’s still lots of talent left on the board.

From our Top 50 players in the 2019 class, only 14 players remain uncommitted. Here, we take a look at the Top 5 players left from our Top 50, with an even split between bats and arms. All of these players rank in the top 25 and are musts for programs that are looking to put the cherry on top of their 2019 recruiting classes.

Blake Buckle OF / C / Craig Kielburger , ON / 2019 Rankings  StateRank: 6 / POS: 2 Report: The sweetest swing left on the block, No. 6-ranked Blake Buckle brings a sparkling resume to the table as he looks to find the right fit in the Fall of 2019. A member of the Canadian Junior National Team and a former participant in the PBR Future Games, Buckle is the top prospect available. With the ability to catch, play first-base and the outfield, Buckle’s left-handed bat projects at the next level. An easy swing, he’s shown the ability to hit velo while also hitting with some juice to all fields.

Nick Fraser LHP / 1B / Nelson , ON / 2019 Rankings  StateRank: 16 / POS: 2 Report: A left-hander to dream on, Nick Fraser is the top arm available in the 2019 class. Sitting mid-80s and up to 89 mph, Fraser has one of the better breaking balls around. Over the years he’s developed into a desirable arm to have for colleges. It’s tough to imagine he’ll be on the market for much longer, but he can easily translate into a rotation arm in college.

Brandon Deans RHP / OF / Our Lady of Mount Carmel, ON / 2019 Rankings  StateRank: 19 / POS: 3 Report: At 6-foot-4, 200-pounds, Deans is another mid-80s arm who has also been up to 89. With downhill action, Deans throws from a short slot, but gets it on hitters with velo and deception. There’s a good chance Deans will regularly bump 90+ this summer, making him a hot commodity.

Joel Mcknight OF / Brooklin , ON / 2019 Rankings  StateRank: 18 / POS: 8 Report: Ranked at No. 18 on our list, McKnight is the toolsiest player remaining in the Top 50. A former member of the Junior National Program as well as the PBR Future Games, McKnight is a 6.66 runner with a 92 exit velo. Once he fills out, McKnight has a shot to be an impact player.

Carter Seabrooke LHP / OF / Crestwood , ON / 2019 Rankings  StateRank: 25 / POS: 4 Report: Formerly committed to USC Sumter, the 24th-ranked Seabrooke is back on the market as one of the top left-handers available. With violent actions on the mound, Seabrooke comes from pro bloodlines as his older brother Travis is currently a pitcher in the Baltimore Orioles system. With his fastball running up into the high 80's last summer with more to come as he fills out and adds strength, Seabrooke is a steal at this point in the year.
