Scouting Notes: Toronto Mets Indoor Practice - 1/21/18
Denzel Clarke OF / Everest Academy, ON / 2018Scouting Report: This was the first time I got a look at Clarke in 2018. One of Canada’s top prospects in the 2018 class, the still-uncommitted outfielder looks bigger and stronger. Considering where he was a short time ago, the ball jumps off the bat, his bat path is more consistent, and his attitude of striving for perfection is obvious. Clarke passes the eye test, projects extremely well, and while he can get frustrated at times when he makes mistakes, it shouldn’t be too much of a concern for coaches. Of all the players left in the country in the 2018 class, Clarke is the runaway steal for a late sign. |
