Ontario Insider: Team Ontario Day 2 of PBR Future Games
August 1, 2015

On July 30th through August 1st, PBR Ontario will take a select team of players in the Classes of 2017 and 2018 to represent Ontario at the PBR Future Games in Indianapolis at Grand Park.
Players receive exposure unlike any other event for underclassmen. Last year, 100+ colleges from all over the country were in attendance, including coaches from every Division I power conference in the country. Only players who have a legitimate shot at being a Division I recruit and who have an interest in the possibility of making a verbal commitment during their sophomore or junior seasons have been considered.

Ontario Insider: Team Ontario Day 2 of PBR Future Games
The Ontario 2015 Futures team split its two games today with a win against New England to kick things off while a tough, hard fought battle against Michigan saw them come up short 7-5. Below we recap highlights from each game with top standouts in the field, at the plate and on the mound.
Game 1: Ontario vs. New England
Right handed pitcher Tyler Whalen drew the first start for Team Ontario and was the tone-setter they were looking for. Whalen worked around three errors and an unearned run in the first while not giving up his first hit until there was one out in the third inning. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound 2017 grad was able to pound the zone with his fastball to work ahead and get into a routine early on. He finished with two strikeouts while giving up two hits, two runs, one earned, walking nobody.
