Ontario Insider: Preseason College Prospect Showcase - Surprises and Improvements
Shanif Hirani, OF, 2017
Breakdown: One of the biggest improvements we have seen early on. Hirani improved his numbers in every area, with big jumps in the exit velocity, arm strength from the outfield, and was the fastest time in the 40-yard dash. He was noticeably stronger in his 5-foot-9, 160-pound frame with added muscle while still staying athletic. Hirani keeps it short and simple at the plate, with quiet actions and minimal movement. The speedy outfielder will look to have a solid spring and carry that into the summer.
Joshua Palmer. RHP, 2019
