Kitchener, ON – The hard work Jacob Sims has been putting in this winter is starting to pay off.
In his final year at Bishop Macdonell Catholic High School in Guelph, the 17-year-old catcher has spent all of his spare time preparing for the next level, he is feeling good, and he’s looking forward to seeing the gains he’s made in game action during the upcoming season.
“I’ve mostly been working on my pop time,” Sims said. “That was an issue. And then I’ve been working on receiving, mainly catching, and trying to get bigger too. [Ontario Terriers assistant coach] Matt Stocco has helped me a lot. He’s been my catching coach since I started with Guelph and now he’s with the Terriers too. He’s helped with everything.”
