October 3, 2019
We would like to thank all who participated in PBR Ontario's Fieldhouse Pirates Scout Day. This was a great opportunity for 2019-2024 prospects to be identified before season, create and update their profiles, as well see where they stack up with their peers. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase and below we have the complete statistical results from the event as well as the top performers across various different categories.
In the coming weeks, we will be adding and updating profiles for each of the players in attendance, including complete analysis and video.

Scouting Report
Report: Cameron Gurney, a 5-foot-10, 170-pound middle infielder was a standout at Fieldhouse Pirates Scout Day. There’s present strength and athleticism, and still with room to add size and strength after showing off a much more lean and athletic frame this fall. Gurney showed well on the infield with smooth, developing actions. Working low to the ground, the vision and timing as he moves through the ball is clean. It’s a strong arm that would benefit from more freedom of arm slot but does play well from the left side. The bat is the carrying tool right now; a compact left handed swing with plenty of bat speed and power. His swing has lift and barrel control as balls jumped off his bat back through the middle. Already one of the top bats in his class and with a big offseason ahead, Gurney may just be scraping the surface and definitely is one to keep an eye on.
