From now until the start of the 2015 season, Prep Baseball Report Ontario will bring you in-depth team previews throughout the entire state. If your coach has not filled out the survey please have him do so through this link.

Along with the team previews, the 2015 Team Rankings will be releasing sometime late February and we hope to bring a Q&A session to discuss the rankings.

Also, we will be releasing the preseason All Ontario Teams sometime in early March.

General Notes:

The Newmarket Hawks look to be a strong team that can hold their own in the expansion year of the Midget Elite League (M.E.L.).

Coming of a year where they saw their record slip to four games under .500, the Hawks will look to improve on that record and see themselves climb over the .500 mark.

Pitching will be relied on to carry the load and keep them in ballgames, while the top of the order will be asked to produce runs and create havoc on the base paths for opposing pitchers.

Lefties Jeff Barton and Adam Coll will be atop the rotation as both can fill the zone up. Austin Hussani is another pitcher who will be counted upon to help lead the pitching staff.

Offensively, the Hawks will look to the whole lineup to help contribute, with Coll, Connor Patterson, Craig Henderson, and Ryan Conrod should be mainstays in the order.

Will be an interesting and exciting year for coaches Wayne Patterson and Ray Bassett, with hopes over be a north of .500, while competing in the U.S. and finishing strong at the Eliminations in early August.
