Team OK Future Games Recap

Scott Hood
OK State Director

With the Future Games coming to an end, we take a look back at all the participants from Team Oklahoma.  These prospects hailing from all over the state took part in the festivities throughout the week that included a pro-style workout and three games against Pacific Northwest, Colorado, and Utah.  Multiple prospects significantly raised their stock in the eyes of multiple recruiters that checked in on Team OK from throughout the week.  In total, there were 425 college coaches in attendance this year which shattered last year's previous record solidifying the Future Games as the best uncommitted event by far in the country.

Tyler Robinson 2B / OF / Edmond Memorial, OK / 2026

Robinson has one of the more consistent summers of anyone representing Team OK and continued to impress both during the workouts and in gameplay.  He kicked off his Future Games with the 4th fastest 60 time at the event with a 6.45.  He would also continue to make consistent hard contact in BP during the workout showing that it's not just the gamechanging speed he brings to the table.  In gameplay, Robinson had some of the most consistent at bats throughout the week picking up multiple hits in three games.  Even with his slim stature, Robinson proved himself on the biggest stage in the country as one of the top athletes to keep an eye on in the coming years.

Jackson Harris SS / 2B / Dale, OK / 2026

Harris arguably had one of the more impressive workouts from the week the culminated in his personal best 60 at 6.78 and one of the top exit velocities from the workout at 100.1 mph.  Mechanically, the swing has made some big adjustments in the last year and it is starting to show on the field in in-game production.  Harris hit one of the hardest balls of the weekend driving an RBI double down the left field line in game one and also showed smooth actions up the middle throughout the week.  Adding to his big week, Harris got a little time out in the outfield and came away with the best play made on the weekend with a difficult diving catch on a sinking line drive towards the line.  His positional versatility and improving athleticism makes for him to be one of the more intriguing prospects in the class moving forward.

Kaleb Thiessen OF / C / Calumet, OK / 2026

There might not be a position player across the entire event that landed himself on the map more than Thiessen throughout the week.  It started with an impressive workout day that saw the C/OF run a 6.74 60 and work exit velocities up to 95.5 mph.  Where he really shined was his ability to show true positional versatility both working behind the plate where he worked pop times as low as 1.92 and showed strong range in the outfield during gameplay.  The switch hitter picked up hits from both sides of the plate on the week and showed one of the better swings from the left-side that we saw in game.  While probably more of a true outfielder, his ability to work behind the plate creates a ton of value for programs at the next level, especially given some of the more recent upcoming rule changes coming to college baseball.

Luke Hill SS / 2B / Okarche, OK / 2026

The middle infielder from Okarche kicked off his Future Games running a 7.0 60 while also lowering his previous best 30 yard split to 3.94.  He worked exit velocities up into the upper 80's with his short and compact line drive approach that found consistent barrels in the BP round.  Defensively, he worked balls across the diamond at 83 mph which is a PBR best for him as well.  While in-game results were slightly mixed, the heady baseball IQ was on full display with multiple advanced actions up the middle and his usual well-collected footwork on ground balls.

Jake Beutler LHP / OF / Canute, OK / 2026

Beutler was the only true 2-way to compete on this year's squad showing upside on both sides of the ball.  He began his workout running a 6.93 in the 60 before working exit velocities up to 91.1 mph from the left side.  On the mound on Friday, Beutler was able to work 2 scoreless innings with the fastball sitting mostly in the mid 80's before popping a 89 mph heater later in his outing.  While he didn't collect any hits in his two games worth of action, the swing showed more promise on the final day, showing quick hands through the zone and better balance at the plate than where we've seen in him the past.

 <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">2026 OF <a href="https://twitter.com/JakeBeutler03?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@JakeBeutler03</a> (Canute)<br><br>91.1 exit velo<br>88 outfield velo<a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/PBFG24?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#PBFG24</a> I <a href="https://twitter.com/LakePointSports?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@LakePointSports</a> I <a href="https://twitter.com/MizunoSportsUSA?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@MizunoSportsUSA</a> <a href="https://t.co/d4fWMz2YGu">pic.twitter.com/d4fWMz2YGu</a></p>&mdash; PBR Oklahoma (@PrepBaseballOK) <a href="https://twitter.com/PrepBaseballOK/status/1816503166369960367?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">July 25, 2024</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Eddie Fish SS / 2B / Yukon, OK / 2026

Fish has long been known as one of the better overall athletes in the '26 class and he showed more in-game production throughout the week to make it one of the more impactful performances for Team OK.  He began the workout turning in 6.73 60 and exit velocities topping out at 92.5 mph in the workout.  Where Fish shined were in his at bats throughout the week picking up multiple base hits all over the yard and even turned in a handful of stolen bases to the ledger.  Fish has one of the higher ceilings of any of the position players in the class and still has plenty of room to continue to add strength and with more experience could be one of the more coveted prospects when it is all said and done.

 <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">2026 MIF <a href="https://twitter.com/Eddie_Fish2026?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@Eddie_Fish2026</a> (<a href="https://twitter.com/YukonMillerBB?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@YukonMillerBB</a>) continues to show a feel for the barrel picking up a backside hit thru the 4 hole<a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/PBFG24?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#PBFG24</a> I <a href="https://twitter.com/LakePointSports?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@LakePointSports</a> I <a href="https://twitter.com/MizunoSportsUSA?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@MizunoSportsUSA</a> <a href="https://t.co/ZuEGuAwby7">pic.twitter.com/ZuEGuAwby7</a></p>&mdash; PBR Oklahoma (@PrepBaseballOK) <a href="https://twitter.com/PrepBaseballOK/status/1816843219721675016?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">July 26, 2024</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Avery Lonberg OF / 3B / Edmond North, OK / 2026

Lonberg came into the Future Games as one of the more productive hitters from the '26 class in the spring.  He begin his Future Games running a 7.04 in the 60 and having one of the more impressive rounds of BP from the left side for Team OK.  He turned in exit velocities up to 94.8 mph showing a strong linear swing and potential pull side power in the future.  Standing at 6-foot and 179 pounds, Lonberg has already proven himself on the OSSAA circuit as one of the tougher left-handed at bats and still has plenty of room to add strength in the future.

Whit Thomas SS / 3B / Heritage Hall, OK / 2026

Thomas joined Team OK as one of the more projectable position players in the class standing at 6-foot-2 and 170 pounds.  Thomas turned in his personal best in the 60 at 7.06 and really shined with his raw arm strength in the defensive portion of the workout working the ball 91 mph across the diamond.  What really catches your eye with Thomas is his ability to defend at a high level playing multiple spots, including adding first base to his arsenal this weekend where he showed the ability to pick up a tough new position in a hurry.  The swing still has plenty of projection in it from the left side and as he continues to gain strength, should project for above average gap to gap power.

Reid Smith C / 3B / Piedmont, OK / 2026

Smith came to Team OK as the top ranked backstop in the class and he did not disappoint on both sides of the ball throughout the week.  Smith turned in an above average time for a catcher in the 60 at 7.09 and exit velocities up to 91.3 mph during BP.  Behind the plate, Smith showcased pop times as low as 1.93 and showed better carry on the throws than where we've seen him in the past.  Throughout the week, Smith handled the pitching staff nicely with strong receiving and blocking skills and capped off the week catching two would-be base stealers at second base.  Smith still profiles as one of the more offensive backstop options in the class and should be primed for a big jump with the bat in the coming years.

Jase Winchester SS / 2B / Edmond Memorial, OK / 2026

Winchester is well-known in this part of the country as one of the top defending middle infielders in the area, he proved himself more than capable of handling the middle of the field at the Future Games.  He turned in a personal best 6.93 in the 60 before showing a line drive approach in BP regestering exit velocities up to 91.4 mph.  He showcased his plus arm across the diamond registering 90 mph with strong carry and accuracy to the bag.  His ability to cut down the distance on ground balls with advanced rhythm and glove action sets him apart from his peers and even got off one of the better swings of the week leading off the game Saturday with a hard hit liner up the middle.  There's still plenty of room for growth on the offensive side of the ball, but Winchester should be considered as a prospect that can remain at the short stop position in the future at the next level pairing it with one of the higher motors in the state.

Cooper Kardokus SS / RHP / Edmond Memorial, OK / 2026

The only participant on Team OK with prior Future Games experience, Kardokus continues to shine on the national stage with another strong performance in Atlanta.  He turned in his best 60 time at 6.95 and worked exit velocities up to 94.9 mph showing advanced barrel skills from both sides of the plate.  Kardokus' ability to excel at multiple facets of the game is what sets him apart from his peers with his bat to ball skills, baserunning abilities, and his positional versatility to play all over the infield with strong actions and enough arm strength to remain on the left side if needed.  Any program at the next level will find a winning player with an incredibly high motor that has the type of skills and traits to move them forward.

Easton Roby SS / RHP / Okarche, OK / 2026

Roby came into the Future Games known for having one of the sweeter left-handed strokes in the class and he did not disappoint.  The Okarche prospect worked exit velocities into the mid 90's showing potential pull side power.  That swing carried over to gameplay where he picked up a couple of hits with hard contact.  Roby's ability to handle the bat from the left-side, paired with his smooth and controlled defensive actions makes him one of the more intriguing follows in the upcoming recruiting cycle.

Ritson Meyer OF / OF / Elgin, OK / 2026

Meyer joined Team OK as one of the more physical bats in the classs with the ability to play all three outfield spots.  His offensive power potential shined in the workout where Meyer launched multiple balls deep over the left field fence with advanced hand strength.  When Meyer is able to get through and extended on balls, they have a different type of carry than his peers in the class.  With his ability to play all three outfield spots and the power potential from the right side, Meyer should be considered amongst the top outfield choices heading into this year's recruiting cycle.

Jackson Turney 1B / LHP / Sand Springs, OK / 2026

Turney came into this year's Future Games after having proven himself as an accomplished hitter on the Varsity level in both his sophomore and freshman campaigns.  Turney continued to show the high levels of hand strength both in BP (100.0 mph exit velocity) and in the game where the ball continued to jump off the barrel for multiple hits on the weekend.  Turney's hand strength at contact paired with his unique barrel control makes him one of the more dangerous hitters in the class.

Tyler Frazier RHP / C / Newcastle, OK / 2026

Frazier had started to build some momentum around his name throughout the summer circuit and capped off an impressive summer with a strong performance in ATL.  Using his four pitch mix, Frazier was able to navigate the Pacific Northwest lineup through three innings showing his high-end pitchability.  The fastball took a slight tick up touching 90 in this outing and there is still plenty more in the tank.  His ability to manuever through lineups efficiently has caught the eyes of many throughout the summer and he has arguably the highest floor of any arm in the class.

Kaden Longman C / OF / Newcastle, OK / 2026

Longman worked two innnings for Team OK showing his quick hand speed with the FB working up to 88 mph with plenty more coming from his slim/athletic frame.  The Newcastle prospect also showed feel for a heavy fading changeup with big depth and has shown the ability to spin the breaking ball in the zone in the past.   The projectability on the mound comes largely from his raw arm strength that he can also show as a position player and with a little more experience, he should be a high follow in the 2026 class.

Elijah Williams LHP / OF / Community Christian, OK / 2026

Not many prospects throughout the entire event put their name on the map more than Elijah Williams did after his two inning stint against Pacific Northwest.  The left-hander worked a perfect 6 up and 6 down outing where he also punched out 5 along the way.  The fastball showed life in the zone up to 89 mph and the sweeping breaking ball in the low to mid 70's was enough to keep the hitters off balance.  The amount of buzz he created for himself has just as much to do as how he carried himself on the mound as the stuff he showed.  Expect Williams to become one of the more highly coveted arms in this class in Oklahoma as he has continually shown the ability to miss bats each time we see him take the mound.

Cooper Leggett RHP / Bixby, OK / 2026

Leggett came into this year's Future Games after logging big innings for a talented Bixby staff this spring.  The 6-foot-7 right-hander worked the fastball up to 89 mph coming from his loose and whippy arm action and also showed a potential plus changeup in the mid 70's.  Leggett arguably has one of the highest ceilings of anyone in the class and it would not be surprising to see the stuff take big jumps in the near future.  His size and ability to pound the zone should project for a starter at the next level and will only continue to improve as he continues to gain experience.

Laird Williams RHP / 1B / Edmond Memorial, OK / 2026

Williams showed at this year's Future Games that there is more that comes with him on the mound other than his immense size of 6-foot-7 and 255 pounds.  Williams cruised through his two innings working the fastball up to 89 and paired it nicely with a low 70's breaking ball and feel for the low 80's change that he worked to both right-handed and left-handed hitters.  With a true three pitch mix, Williams ability to land any of his offerings in the zone in any count gives him higher end pitchability and the command should project for him to work as a starter at the next level.  Clearly, he has the physical size to continue to make jumps but what is most impressive is his ability to control the body and have feel for the arm through the arm swing which is not as easy as he makes it out to be.   Williams has put himself on the map in the past 12 months and should be one to highly consider in this recruiting cycle.

Preston Welch 1B / LHP / Byng, OK / 2026

Welch earned his chance to pitch at this year's Future Games after showing promise on the mound at the OKC Summer ID.  The left-hander took the stuff up a notch in Atlanta working up to 86 mph and showing feel for the low 70's breaking ball that can show swing and miss shape at times.  A strong athlete on the mound, Welch still has plenty of more room in the tank to continue to add velocity and should be a high follow heading into his junior season.

Parker Hayes LHP / 1B / Mount St. Mary, OK / 2026

Hayes might be the most projectable arm in this year's 2026 class standing at a slim 6-foot-6 and 175 pounds.  Hayes was able to work the fastball up to 86 mph in this outing coming from his 3/4 loose arm slot and showing feel for an advanced changeup in the mid 70's.  The breaking ball showed signs of promise in the mid 70's and should continue to develop into a tighter and firmer pitch as he continues to gain strength.  Hayes has proven to be an out-getter and strike thrower in the past and will be an interesting follow in the coming years as he continues to develop.

William Grayson Jr. RHP / SS / MOUNT SAINT MARY CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL, OK / 2026

Grayson Jr. put his name on the map this past weekend with one of the better pitching performances from Team OK.  The right-hander worked the fastball up to 88 mph and showed advanced feel for landing the firm slider which came in as high as 80 mph.  There's plenty of room and projection for more velocity in the future even after making some pretty significant jumps in the recent past.  The Mount St Mary prospect saw 10 hitters in the outing sitting down 9 of them while also showing potential swing and miss stuff.

Jayce Ramirez C / RHP / Duncan, OK / 2026

Ramirez joined the roster after a strong performance at the OKC Summer ID while also coming off a lower body injury that has kept him out most of the summer.  Ramirez impressed again in Atlanta with the strong fastball command and velocity coming in at 87 mph and showing feel for landing the breaking ball in the low to mid 70's.  Ramirez showed strong poise on the mound even with him missing a significant amount of time in the past couple of months and the work he has already done on firming out the frame has helped him make big jumps in the past few months.
