Preseason All-State Roster Preview: Part Thirteen
February 9, 2024
As we approach one day away from our premiere event of the year, we dive into some of the prospects that will be making their debuts at one of our events. We are always being recommended prospects through various coaches and channels throughout the state and are always on the hunt to take looks at as many prospects throughout Oklahoma that we can. While some of these prospects we will be seeing for the first time, there are a handful that we have caught through our scouting coverage in the spring and summer and will be looking to get verified data and video on each of these prospects.

Nick Modovsky 3B / SS / Bishop Kelley, OK / 2025Modovsky makes his Prep Baseball event debut after bursting onto the scene this past spring collecting hits and driving in runs as a sophomore for 5A State runner up Bishop Kelley. He has shown some strength at contact with a knack for finding the barrel, as well as handling strong pitching in the past. Modovosky's track record of in-game production should make for an intriguing follow in the coming months.

Nowell stands at a physical 6-foot-1 and 210 pounds and will look to use that larger frame to put up a strong showing on the mound.

Chance Pair C / 1B / Tahlequah, OK / 2024The switch hitting backstop from Tahlequah will make his debut at one of our events this Sunday at ORU. Isaac Seger Sprain RHP / 1B / Owasso, OK / 2027Seger Sprain makes his debut at one of our events this Sunday taking the mound and working out at first base at the Preseason All-State. Reports have Seger Sprain working in the low 80's with the fastball with high rise and tight spin. He has shown some pitchability in the past and with his 6-foot-1 and 205 pound frame, it won't be surprising to see his velo take a jump as he continues to build strength.
|
Jackson Steely C / RHP / Noble, OK / 2026This Sunday at ORU will be our first looks at the 2-way prospect from Noble where he will work both behind the plate as well as on the mound. With our research, Steely shows an athletic/levered swing with some strength at contact and showing present gap power.
|
Brody Tedesco 1B / RHP / Broken Arrow, OK / 2026The sophomore from Broken Arrow will make his debut at one of our events this Sunday at ORU working both at first base as well as on the mound. Tedesco has shown in the past to use a simple approach with easy rhythm to work balls into the gaps for present gap power. On the mound, he shows a clean delivery and arm action and will look to put up strong numbers throughout the workout.
|
Eli Yates RHP / 3B / Cameron, OK / 2027The freshman Yates will take the mound in his Prep Baseball event debut this Sunday at ORU. Standing at 6-feet-2 and 160 pounds, Yates has the type of frame that should allow him to continue to add strength and size in the future as he will look to put up strong numbers throughout his bullpen.
