Outlook:
The Yukon Millers got red hot towards the end of the 2023 season which saw them reach the 6A State Semifinals. Coach Phillips’ is one of the more respected head coaches in the state and you can never count out one of his teams when you get to the postseason. The Millers bring back much of the production in 2024, including a mix of two-way prospects that are able to get it done both on the mound and at the plate. Yukon has a strong group of senior contributors that will hit at the top of the order that look to lead a high powered offense into 2024.
Impact Players:
Chance Owens, 2024, OF/LHP, Cowley Commit
Owens was one of the Millers most impactful players as a two way player a season ago. Yukon dealt with some arm injuries last year and Owens ended up stepping up and being one of their best if not their best pitcher down the stretch for them. Owens fills the zone with a mid 80’s FB with ASR to go with a fading CH and CB with 12/6 shape. At the plate, Owens is a gap to gap hitter willing to go the other way and will hit at the top of the order for the Millers after an impressive junior campaign that saw him hit .440 with almost 4 times as many walks as strikeouts.
Carter Parent, 2024, OF/C, Palm Beach Atlantic Commit

2024 C/OF @carterparent29 (@YukonMillerBB) jumps off the tape as a utility player showing off a 1.91 pop time to go along with a 90 mph OF velo. Also had exit velocities up to 89.3 which makes him an intriguing follow heading into his senior year. pic.twitter.com/GLzsbpWXAd
Parent will help Yukon in a variety of different ways this spring, mainly due to his defensive versatility. Parent has the ability to play a multiple spots on the diamond but will mainly contribute as an outfielder and as a catcher this spring. In the outfield, Parent has been up to 90 mph and has added pop times as low as 1.91 from behind the plate in the past. At the plate, he uses an open stance and has shown the ability to be an extra base threat looking to build off a junior season that saw him hit .362 with 10 doubles, 5 triples, and 4 homers. Parent will also help on the mound this spring and expect him to be a massive contributor if Yukon wants to make another run to the State Tournament in 2024.
Cale Parr, 2024, INF/RHP, Connors St Commit
Parr was an impactful two-way player for Yukon in 2023. Parr hit at the top of the Millers order for much of the previous spring and is expected to be one of their highest producers in his senior campaign. On the mound, Parr pitched big games during districts a season ago and works in the mid 80’s. Parr is their everyday SS so we are interested to see how he develops on the mound and at the plate as he will get tons of opportunities to bring runs home.
Luke Graham, 2024, OF, Eastern Oklahoma St Commit
2024 OF @Graham27Luke (@YukonMillerBB) hit the big two run homer in the 7th to help the Millers advance yesterday and continues to swing a hot bat here showing why he is one of the higher ceiling bats in the 2024 class pic.twitter.com/UcWmiU7e4O
— PBR Oklahoma (@PBR_Oklahoma) May 12, 2023
Graham has had his share of big hits in his career to this point and has shown to be a major power threat for the Millers. Graham has worked up to a 98.3 mph exit velocity and has shown the ability to lift balls and be an extra base hit machine adding 7 longballs last spring. Graham moves well in the OF and has shown potential to be a quality OF going forward. Graham has a chance to have a breakout spring where he could have some of the most RBI opportunities in the Miller lineup.
