OSSAA Player of the Week: Week Four

Scott Hood
Oklahoma State Director

We pick the player of the week by scouring through box scores as well as take submissions from high school coaches across the state.  To be considered for selection, please send in weekly stats to [email protected] or DM through our social channels by 8:00 PM each Sunday night.

In a week that saw some of the strongest peformances not only of this season but in the past couple of seasons, 2025 INF/RHP Layton Bryan from Chickasha takes this week's award after a dominate performance on the mound and adding a consisent presence in the lineup.  Last Tuesday, Bryan took the mound and threw a complete game shutout allowing only 2 hits and one walk.  While there were multiple arms last week that threw shutouts, nobody can match the eye-popping 21 strikeouts from Bryan meaning he literally picked up every out from the game via the strikeout.  Bryan also finished the week going 7-15 and adding 7 RBI to the tally to sweeten the deal and earn this week's reward.
