Rain in the future forecast has altered the start time with the Edmond North Regional kicking off on Tuesday April 30th.  This regional features some serious firepower with the top two teams with power arms on one side and power bats on the other.   We breakdown each team's record, players to watch, and a deeper look at each team as they head into this week's regional and try to make it to the state tournament next week.

Coach Allen and the Huskies have seen some success in Coach Allen’s first year as Head Coach posting an impressive 12-2 district record which helped them clinch a regional host this year. The Huskies have one of the more impressive pitching rotations in the state with some top end power arms that have the ability to beat any team in the state. Led by seniors Pryce Bender and Owen Hall where the latter has ran it up to 98 in the past few outings with Bender working in the low to mid 90s. The Huskies have the ability to make a run if the bats can come alive down the stretch but have had some production as of late from sophomore Avery Lonberg and junior Isaac Laus who have given them some spark at the top of the order. Expect an impact from two-way players Isaac Worden and Brandon Green where both juniors will help them both at the plate and on the mound in the coming weeks. With the Huskies having two of the premier arms in the state and an experienced rotation behind them, it makes them a nightmare matchup in any scenario this postseason if the bats get hot at the right time.

Coach Hunnicutt and the Jaguars have had an up and down spring to this point but look to get hot going into the postseason. While it is Coach Hunnicutt’s first year at the helm, this team has tons of postseason experience where in years past they have upset some of the top teams in the state where they have made the state tournament the past two seasons. The Jaguars have some firepower at the top of the order led by leadoff center fielder Josiah Kemp who has some of the higher upside in the ‘26 class with a unique blend of speed and power with the ability to defend at a high level. Westmoore also has a tag team of catchers behind the plate in seniors Connor Cavnar and Tanner Fallwell that hit in the two and three spots for the Jaguars. Cavnar has shown the ability to leave the park at any moment with Falwell having an interesting blend of power and speed that has the ability to impact the game at all levels. The Jaguars have been led on the mound by senior southpaw Bradley Ruby with sophomore Brody Inhofe picking up recently establishing himself as the clear number 2 on the staff. The Jaguars have the ability to get hot and beat some good teams if they can get some consistency out of the back half of the rotation and bottom of the lineup.

Coach Dennard and the Pirates haven’t had the most successful season but look to see if they can make some noise going into this year's postseason. The leaders of this year’s Pirate team are senior infielder Avery Stewart, junior infielder Connor Fast and sophomore outfielder Brandon Bennett. In the Pirates wins this spring, they have shown the ability to score runs so we are interested to see if they can catch a spark and get hot and potentially win a few games in this year's regional.

Coach Shows and the Eagles struggled during district play this spring but put together a .500 non-district record that saw them put up a good amount of runs in their 10 non-district victories. The Eagles have experience at the top of the lineup with their first four hitters all being upperclassmen where they have all produced in their wins. The Eagles are led by junior Charlie Trachte who is their best arm on the mound as well as their leadoff who has had production against good competition this spring.
