Oklahoma Class of 2025 Rankings Update: Fall Edition

Bret Schwartz
Prep Baseball Oklahoma Scouting Director

We take a look at a final rankings update for the Senior class as they close the book on their 2024 campaigns. This year has seen both high level talent near the top of the rankings along with depth throughout, and the most uncommitted talent for this time of year due to roster restrictions coming at the Division I level. We’ll highlight a couple new prospects that we had our first chance to see as well as take a deeper look at some of those uncommitted players looking for their right fit at the next level.

NEWCOMERS

Israel Gonzales RHP / 2B / Enid, OK / 2025

Gonzales showcased himself as a premier arm at our Enid event to close at the fall. He enters the rankings at number 21 utilizing a fastball up to 88.7 with armside run averaging 21.9” HM. Off the FB, he flashed a plus change up fading with an average of 16.6” HM. There is still much more to come from Gonzales 6’0” 165 pound frame and athleticism showed through his delivery. He’s an easy mover, the ball jumps out of his hand, and we would not be surprised to see another jump in the spring.

UNCOMMITTED PROSPECTS TO KEEP AN EYE ON

Cooper Auschwitz OF / 3B / Owasso, OK / 2025

Auschwitz comes in at 8 in our latest rankings update. Recently uncommitted, he is our highest ranked uncommitted prospect in the senior class. He provides a mix of power and speed with a 6.75 60 time in addition to plus bat bat speed at 88.9 mph. Defensive versatility also offers schools at the next level multiple options in how to utilize his skillset.

Jacob Wehba SS / 2B / Westmoore, OK / 2025

Wehba, our 19th ranked player in the senior class, is a Senior Future Games alumni. He utilizes a simple approach, working gap to gap, and mature understanding of his skillset. As a defender, Wehba has shown the ability to play all three spots including the left side. He’s proven himself to be a spark at the top of the lineup with the ability to pressure defenses and deserves a closer look from numerous schools at the next level.

Whaetly Chaloupek RHP / 1B / Edmond Santa Fe, OK / 2025

Chaloupek is the highest rated uncommitted pitcher in our rankings coming in at 24. Recently uncommitted, he has flashed big upside, a Future Games alumni, has worked his high ride (22.8 IVB) fastball above 90 mph and pairs it with a plus slider spinning at 2500 RPMs. Chaloupek’s FB/SL mix can fill multiple roles at the next level and will be a must follow into the spring.

Caleb Hines RHP / OF / Edmond Memorial, OK / 2025

Hines, our 28th ranked player this winter, has a projectable frame that oozes upside as he continues to fill out at 6’2” and 180 lbs. He has shown the ability to pitch in the mid to upper 80’s and land an overhand curveball spinning over 2500 RPMs. His size and competitiveness paired with current stuff make him the type of pitcher any school would look to add to their staff.

Declan Murphy 3B / RHP / Carl Albert, OK / 2025

Murphy checks in at 30 in our latest rankings update from the back to back state champion Carl Albert High School. A physical, middle of the order bat, he has continued to perform at a high level behind a mature approach utilizing the entire field. A Future Games alum, Murphy has the desirable size and upside schools look for in a corner infielder at 6’1” and 190 lbs with even more strength to come.

Catcher Lindley RHP / OF / Piedmont, OK / 2025

Lindley, 31st in our latest rankings, is one of the highest ranked remaining uncommitted arms in the senior class. He has shown the ability to work his fastball into the low 90’s. He has flashed the ability to land all three pitches in the zone, and we would not be shocked to see another jump early in the spring season.

Brad Hoisington OF / RHP / Claremore , OK / 2025

Hoisington comes in at 45 in our final rankings before the calendar clicks to 2025. An athletic, rangy two-way player, he has flashed game-changing ability on both sides of the ball clocking a 6.94 60 and fastball over 86 mph. At 6’2” and 165 lbs, Hoisington’s frame leaves plenty of room for projectability with even more strength to come.

Grady Thomas RHP / SS / Elgin, OK / 2025

Thomas comes in at 97 in our final rankings of the 2024 calendar year. He has continued to fill out his 6’3” frame and has seen his velo climb as a result. An exciting prospect with size, athleticism, and command of three pitches will be a player to continue following with more to come in 2025.
